Tesla unveils the redesigned Model 3 In North America.

Months after the car’s launch in China and Europe, Tesla unveiled the redesigned Model 3 compact sedan in North America on Wednesday at the same price.

After a pricing war last year that helped the company meet its annual delivery goal at the expense of margins, this action will modernize Tesla’s aging vehicle lineup in its largest market.

According to Tesla’s website, new features like a rear display for backseat passengers are part of the updated long-range and rear-wheel drive Model 3 variants.

The long-range variant can now travel 341 miles on a single charge, unlike the previous 333 miles.

The new “Ultra Red” and “Stealth Grey” colors for Tesla’s wheels are part of the company’s recent redesign.

According to updated guidelines under the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act, the Model 3 rear-wheel drive variant costs $38,990, while the long-range variant costs $45,990. As a result, both variants will no longer be eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit at the end of 2023.

After the federal tax credit, the Model 3 Performance variant was the most expensive version of the small sedan, costing $50,990. Tesla has since removed the model from its websites in North America.

September of last year saw the higher-priced, Tesla unveiled the redesigned Model 3 (code-named “Highland”) unveiled in China. A month later, it was on sale throughout Europe.
